Network Funding's History

Network Funding, LP began when two longtime colleagues, Rex Chamberlain and Buzz Baker, regrouped to form a Texas wholesale mortgage company. Rex and Buzz shared a combined 50 years of experience in the retail/wholesale mortgage banking business.

In 2000, they set out to change their strategic focus to offer qualified mortgage originators branch opportunities by filling what they believed to be a void created in the mortgage industry. Together, they recognized that during the migration of the industry from retail to wholesale/broker origination production channels, a gap in the control of client business and scalability was created. To capitalize on this, they created a structure that combined the high-level of service from the broker industry with the quality control and financial strength of the lending industry. read more
